Savoury French Toast – Low FODMAP
FODMAP Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 egg whisked
- 1 tbsp Reduced-fat milk
- 1 tbsp fresh basil leaves chopped
- Reduced fat cheddar cheese x2 slices
- 35 g baby spinach
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 bread x2 slices
Instructions
- Whisk egg, milk and basil together in a small bowl.
- Soak bread slices in the egg mixture turning to coat both sides.
- Heat the oil in a large frypan over medium heat. Add in the soaked bread slices and cook.
- Turn the bread once it is golden brown. When both sides are golden, place the cheese on top and wait for it tomelt.
- Serve with low FODMAP green leaves on the side
